Hello! My name is Akshat Agarwal. I’m an undergraduate student at Princeton University studying mathematics with minors in history, statistics and machine learning, and applied and computational mathematics. In fall 2026, I will begin my Ph.D. in mathematics at MIT. My research interests lie in probability theory, stochastic processes, and their applications.

I am currently writing my senior thesis on random regular graphs under the supervision of Ramon van Handel. Previously, I studied Markov chain Monte Carlo with Gautam Iyer, Banach space geometry with Assaf Naor, nonlinear Schrödinger equations with Bjoern Bringmann, and kernel methods for variational inference at Vertaix.

I was previously the president of Business Today, a non-profit organization connecting today’s leaders with tomorrow’s.
